"New" car with $2,000 repair? Yay or nay?
Lego Maniac? Are you retired? I found a nice used G37 that I was about to buy that day. After test driving it, I made an offer, but there was a guy who also test drove it after me and beat me, bec. the dealer offered me $11,000 for the my trade in due to accident. There where no time to haggle and the other guy bought it.... My sales man can go up to $13,000 which I would take , but the other guy is too fast. If my car did not have any accident report, he could have offered it to me at 13k right away. With accident report, dealer can play around with the numbers and for someone like you , you have more time, for most of us, it is not worth hanging in there for another 2+ hours. I had to drive 2 hours from WI to Illinois that day. I was there from 9am-4pm.....
I wish! Just a 40 year old married...with children suburban dad

You had limited leverage in your situation, it shouldn't be interpreted as a blanket assumption that a cars value is reduced by the price of a minor accident repair.
I'm still waiting for a copy of the repair bill. I'm leaning towards the white coupe, though I really want black because it just looks awesome.
And yes, I did get it down to a few G's below invoice. But my monthly payments is still pretty high, so they're getting me somewhere else.
Also, I don't qualify for any Loyalty discount because my current car is a Q50? I needed to drive a "G" to qualify for the loyalty bonus.

So I'm shopping around for a loaded 2015 6MT coupe which is hard to find since the 2015 will be the model until the new 2017 coupe is released.
The one I was looking at was recently clipped in the rear in the parking lot requiring $2k worth of repairs. Don't have the full details on it yet other than that.
That seems pretty excessive. Even with the damages, no discount is offered other than what was previously negotiated.
Which is $850 out of pocket and $425 a month (after tax).
10K miles / year. 24 months lease.
Pass?

Rear bumper cover, paint, and a parking sensor was $1500.00
So $2000.-- was barely an occurrence!!
So, car value's is reduced due to the accident. New bumper, meaning the bumper isn't original, and the vin number on the bumper won't match.
(well, this applies to Hondas / Acura). Not sure about Infiniti.
On my 1996 Acura Integra, there is a vin sticker on every panel you can imagine. From hood, doors, trunk, fender, bumper, etc etc.
