$28k is asking a bit too much, and they probably won't lower it by much if you offer a trade-in (which you lose out on too). If you can't find any others in the area, I suggest looking through the classifieds or give the dealer incremental offers over the course of the next couple months, reminding the dealer that they'll probably sell this for a few thousand below market value once the Q60 is released.

Hey guys I am currently in the market for a G37xS coupe and have found a listing for a CPO 2013 with 36k miles on it.

Its listed as $27,500 and their out the door price is $29,900. I am trying to get it down to around the $25k range if thats possible.

What do you guys think? Thanks in advance.

I bought my '13xS coupe about a month ago with 27k miles (non-CPO) for about $24,600. I would guess that CPO can add $1500+ to the price, so it wouldn't be unreasonable to look to drop the price down. What color? 7AT or 6MT? Any additional options?

With the new Q60 coming out, they'll never sell the car at $30k
If you can't get them to drop to at least $25k, I'd pass or wait until they're desperate to sell it.

Black, navigation and sport package, and 7AT. I see one without the sport package for few thousand less miles going for $25,000. I showed him that offer and he replied with it doesnt have the sport package ($2,000). So I guess he's not going to budge.

Yeah I thought about that too. I'm just not exactly sure when the price drop would occur so I would need to wait it out until they get desperate want to get rid of it.

Problem is I need a car pretty soon because the emission test due date is coming up in may and I don't want to put any more money in my 98 maxima to fix the check engine light.

You think the price would drop to around 25k after the release? So probably dropping a couple thousand from the original price?

I might just go with the sedan since it is cheaper... but sacrificing the look

I would say 25 to 26k, last year I wanted to buy a 2011 Infiniti G37 S sedan 7 speed without navigation with like 43k miles i believe and the dealer would not go down from 24k, it's hard because retail prices are always higher than private party so I think you'll be able to get them to go down a grand or two but not anymore than that but Give it a try

I would suggest not waiting because they will sell it, they sold the sedan right away like less than a week after i negotiated with them and I'm sure the 6 speed sedan is in high demand. I still think the price is a little too high but if you get them to go down a bit and you can afford it then go for it before it sells

For a 7AT, I'm pretty confident that the price will drop below 25k after the release...everybody will flock to the TT with 400hp. For the 6MT, prices will probably float because no more manuals are being produced.

Do a cost comparison of how much you would save by waiting versus how much you need to spend to fix your current car. I would go with the latter since time is on your side when it comes to depreciating assets. You never want to rush yourself into buying a car, and the emissions test is an artificial timeline that you created for yourself. Sit back, relax, and scan the market. There will be many more cars to come.

I appreciate the helpful advice!! You are exactly right I shouldn't rush this process. I'll see if its worth it to fix my car and wait it out.

Thanks for the input.

I'm always happy to help! I hope it doesn't take much to fix your ride. If it costs too much to fix it, get an emissions test from a "private party."

Went to the mechanic and its going to cost well over $1k so I guess thats out of the question. He did tell me I could file an extension for 6 months though if I go to the secretary of state which I will do once It becomes the due date for the emission test.

I might have to look for something cheaper like a honda accord... or g35 maybe. Trying to lower my budget to 10k maybe 15k
