Change in G37 Invoice Price and MSRP?

Has anyone else noticed that the invoice and MSRP prices have changed on kbb.com and Edmunds?

kbb.com:
G37 Base - invoice N/A - MSRP $35,215
G37 Journey - invoice N/A - MSRP $35,965
G37 Sport 6MT - invoice N/A - MSRP $36,515

Edmunds:
G37 Base - invoice $31,726 - MSRP $34,500
G37 Journey - invoice $32,413 - MSRP $35,250
G37 Sport 6MT - invoice $32,917 - MSRP $35,800

Both sites still list destination at $715. the Kelley Blue Book MSRP prices seem really out of whack but the Edmunds MSRP prices are exactly $250 more than the original prices. Also, infiniti.com still has the original prices listed.

I wonder if this is a real price change or just some computer error... do manufacturers ever change the pricing on a vehicle in the middle of its model year (especially upwards)?

Interesting.

I would guess that KBB and Edmunds have not 'changed' their numbers (I never looked before) if anything those were estimates of what they beleived the car would retail for before it was released (again if you say they changed them, I won't disagree but I've never looked before).

I see the MSRP prices on Infiniti.com listed like this:
- Base $34,250
- Journey $35,000
- Sport 6MT $35,550

The asterki says: "All prices are MSRP. MSRP excludes destination and handling charges, tax, tag, title, and options. DEALER SETS ACTUAL PRICES."

The $715 is the destination charge, I do not see a $250 'fee' anywhere on Infiniti.com or my actual sticker. In most states its actually illegal to charge a delivery fee so that's not something that should be included on those sites because in the end, the dealer is who charges that amount.

I say they are just error's from KBB and Edmunds (unless I'm mistaken) and even if the prices change on Infiniti.com, it all comes down to the dealer since they "set the actual price."

It seems that the only thing that can be confirmed at this time is that MSRP has increased by $250 on all trimlines, as previously mentioned in this thread and in another thread by fkat:

http://www.infinitinews.com/infiniti...29041759.shtml

This does not mean anything has changed with regard to invoice price though. I will be watching sites like kbb.com and Edmunds closely as I'm ready to buy a G37 now, but would feel much better going to the dealership armed with an accurate invoice price.

If anyone knows anything regarding changes in invoice price, please post...

MSRP has gone up by $250, yet invoice hardly changed. Invoice only went up $14.

Maybe this is a way for dealers to make it seem like people are saving even more off MSRP (since Infiniti corporate isn't really making more $).

Edit: I just saw invoice on base was barely up, I didn't bother to check out other models.

Assuming the residuals stay the same and you negotiate invoice+x it would have an interesting effect on the lease calculations. Adding $250 to MSRP and $20 to invoice would reduce monthly lease payments. I did a quick comparison on a fairly well loaded G37S and it would reduce monthly payments by $8-10

Looking at Edmunds it looks like the % increase was applied equally to both MSRP and Invoice. So for the Sport (because that is what I've been tracking) MSRP was up by $250 and invoice up by $230 (both are an increase of 0.7%). So to correct my own message above, if Edmunds is right on the invoice price then on the example car I used above for 24 months (all other things being equal with residuals and MF) it would increase the monthly payment by $3.
