6mt for sure! If I'm not mistaken I believe that only the 6-speeds get the vLSD. Plus paddles just aren't the same. Driving at 10 & 2 only isn't a lot of fun. The auto will be quicker and more consistent in a straight line tho (better 1/4-mile times).

pls dont take this the wrong way, but not everyone gets approved for the 2.9%. you will need at least a 730 beacon score. that part is not negotiable. that is the tier one that they are looking for.
if you dont have credit like that, then dont worry about that 2.9 for the 2 year, or the 3.9 for more.

right now, the lowest rate that infiniti will deal with is the 2.9, but that is a 2 year finance, and the 730 score is needed. the highest they will do would be with other local lenders who will finance the "not so ideal" candidate for credit. they may require you to go as long as 72 months, and can give a rate of as high as 13.9%

Hey guys, went to Palm Springs Infiniti to test the paddle sport coupe. They didnt have a 6MT to try, but the sport paddles blow my G35 away.

As for financing, I am right at 730...lucky me!

As for the trade in, I am looking more and more to private sell to take more cash, they dealer said he would give 13k for it, when KBB says 17k. I dont know what carmax will think but i just hate how long it takes to sell private!

I think I can get around 3.9-4.9% from golden one credit. They are the ones that financed my G35.

So I am down because I have to wait to sell my G, and I have to wait to figure out the financing on my car because I wont be able to do everything before the 2nd.

Test driving that sport AT was a blast! Plus AT is good for adding FI because there is no loss of boost Also, wont 6MT be a pain in traffic? (remember I havent driven MT more than a few short trips). I just want one right this second!

manual IS a pain in traffic, but traffic itself is a pain. i dont recall ever being in traffic and thinking to myself "oh, this traffic really is not so bad because i have an automatic tranny..

the bad part about a manual in traffic is that you have to use your left leg more often than normal. this may lead to cramping if your muscles are not used to that kind of work. if you regularly work out or run, you will not notice anything.

i'll really say the same thing others have. it really depends on what you want to do. the worst decision you can make is one that is made for someone else. by all means listen to suggestions, but you really need to be comfortable with your car. i personally love to drive a manual. i feel like i am more in control, and i feel that i am actually DRIVING the car. if you are not used to driving like that, then you will feel no loss.

the car is for you bro. do what makes you happy, and forget everyone else.

I want to give manual a shot. I think its funny that this will be my first manual car, I hope I dont mess it all up practicing!

So here's where I am:

I am looking at 6MT more than Paddles (but rev match is sexy...although I can do that with MT)

I am going to sell private party to get more cash to put towards down payment.

I will finance out of Infiniti for slightly more than 2.9%....with golden one or another credit place. It just seemed like a perfect time to get the G37. I just want one so bad after test driving it again today.

Anyway, MERRY CHRISTMAS ALL!!!!

i just did my deal on sat. please understand that everything is negotiable, and dealerships want to move units. if you are straight with the salesman, just tell him what numbers you need to do business that day. you want the car of course. tell them that. they know u have infiniti already. tell him that you need this much for your trade, and if they can do that, then you will sign papers. that is what i did for both the car price and my trade price. of course, make sure that the price you are asking is fair.

So asking 50k for my 03 is an unfair price? This thread has really helped me narrowed my purchasing choices!

ONE LAST QUESTION: If need be, the only option on a fully loaded 6MT would be the 4 wheel active steer. Is this option amazing? Will i feel a difference in my cornering? It seems like a great thing to have with the 6MT for full on sport but one of the dealers im going to go to has a fully loaded minus the 4WS car in stock.

As always, thanks for the great advice!

50k for a 03 is too much. i do not think you need a 4was. it does not help and adds more weight. you can get a fully loaded 6mt without 4was for 40100. you can get 500 over invoice in ohio. heard on the forum that you can get invoice up in the northeast.
