Finished my DIY intake finally after plenty of fun ordering and returning parts, ended up using velocity stacks mated to trusty K&Ns will give review of all three stages of my intakes if enough ppl are interested.

Thanks Brad! Total so far with clamps, velocity stacks, and k&n filters is $90. I'm hoping to get some heat shields by next week.

Looks like you might have found a way to make some fun money on the side, that's a pretty big savings. Not having any large metal tubing should help w/ any heat soak issues as well, even prior to getting shielding. MY Injen SRIs w/ the OEM plastic runners haven't shown any noticeable heat loss that I can tell.

Update: My AC went out the other day an infiniti quoted me $1900 oem compressor and $1500 aftermarket installed and I'm just about to Crack 90,000 miles. I am planning on buying a remanufactuned compress and dryer and have that installed by a mechanic friend for $600. I may sell my G before I crack 100k but if I do decide to keep it, gloss black roof wrap and tires and wheels are next.

If I get tires and wheels I have a few narrowed down after I sell my summer tires setup and winter tire setup.

First choice 19x8.5 in gunmetal

I like these alot but they maybe too close to stock rims for am upgrade. 19x8.5 in hypersilver or black

I am a decent fan because enkei but 18x8s

I like these wheels more because they remind me of isf and ipl wheels but 18x8 exact color shown and enkei

Like that 2nd one quite a bit, check all of Venoms listings on the last few pages, some crazy deals he's finding. Also, bummer on the AC

Thanks for the tip Brad, always a good help!

Cleaned my wheels off last night and noticed the black Marks that I thought was a combo of tire gel and brake dust or something from the road ended up being the paint coming off.

Had a pit kit laying around so I decided to restore the wheels using plasti dip and all the necessary tools.

After all the cleaning scrubbing, brake clean, sanding of curb rash and loose paint, pre-dip cleaner and a full drying off this is what they looked like

Then using the exact methods of the fonz frond dip your car, I bagged off everything behind the wheels and put the first coat on of anthracite gray mettalic.

Then after 4 more coats, two coats of anthracite gray metalizer, two coats of aluminum metalizer, two more coats of the gray metalizer and three coats of gloss. This is what they came out to be. Not perfect by any means but I think they look better and keep a somewhat oem look.

Wow, count me as impressed! I think I mentioned in another thread about how I'd just run those wheels w/ a different shade (I think it was you) and I must say, you nailed it!
Those wheels are a great look for OEM, I'd be very happy w/ that result for sure!

The setup is pretty bouncy with the front springs being 370z and the back is Stock S its not perfect. But it is better with the KYBs forsure. I am really happy with those found out around 84k I had a frozen piston in my front strut so it wasnt really doing much so you could see why they feel much handles a hair better too.

After the final coat of protective dip coating here is that they look like now. Once I get the intake shields done I'll take some outside pics.

Here is the intake shield mocked, mounting isnt plug and play.
