Where did you get the wire and tips for the grounding kit? Got link?
I went to a local audio store and had them cut off a certain length of 8 gauge wire and bought sets of 8 and 4 gauge ends. I've seen other users go through amazon though.

Quick review on the air box mod with silencers removed - Now this was a free mod and purely for the joy of wrenching on the car and getting a little more sound. The extra airflow from this may help but I would say it's negligle performance from the button dyno. However sound wise there is much more induction noise when the pedal is fully pressed to the floor and there is a hair more resonance in the cabin because of it. Driving around at normal speeds or accelerating without pushing the car to redline it sounds very similar to stock. More noise and less weight is a plus in my book haha.
This is definitely much cheaper than buying new intakes! I'm not an engineer, but would it make a stronger induction noise if you drilled fewer but strategically positioned holes so there's more pressure inside the box?

Still should be less heatsoak than ram air or any medium length intake that isn't mounted in front of the radiator or down below near the wheel wells.
The holes are all facing away from the engine and on the bottom of the boxes so more air should come from the grilles and bumper than being sucked in from behind the box from the heated engine.
Add in the $0 factor and I am completely happy with my mod! But yes there will be slightly more heat soak then the original stock box, but at the very least it would cancel out with the increased air flow.
