Nice job back there, looking proper!

 

I got a couple of sneak peak pictures of my IPL bumper from Outcast Garage! It should be shipping out tomorrow.

 

I'm still a bit undecided on what else I want to do to the rear of the car. I know for sure that I want the Autokits V2 diffuser, it looks great. It also apparently takes quite some time to get one. I also like the look of making the lower bumper blacked out. Not as aggressive as the diffuser, but still better looking than stock.

I've also toyed around with the idea to either completely debadge the trunk or put the Skyline lettering on it. Personally, if I go the Skyline route, then everything Infiniti needs to come off. It would be a long and expensive process, but other than making it RHD I would like to make a conversion as complete as possible.

I know the whole Skyline badging thing is a sore point for many on here, but this car was initially released in its country of origin as the Nissan Skyline. As far as I'm concerned, that's what it is. Like the whole "calling a rose by any other name" thing if you will, lol.

Anyway, I'm still up in the air about it. I Photoshopped a few pics of what it would look like different ways.

Looking great! Really excited to see your IPL bumper! Nice to see another build with the K51 color (it looks K51 to me haha)

I think you should leave the fuji and add the Autokitv2 diffuser. Looks really mean!

Since it was such a nice day out today, I went for a little drive. I got some pics out at a cool covered bridge in the area:









Then, once I got to work, I decided to give the G a bath. After the ambulances got theirs first of course.







Then, after bathtime, I took a few more because my car is such a picture *****, lol









I'd like to lower it down some here soon, as well as match the tint on my front windows to the rears. In addition to the IPL bumper which should be delivered Friday, I think I'll be set for Spring.

My bumper arrived at the destination facility around 2 today. I knew that having it delivered could be problematic because I had errands to run tomorrow. I might not be able to be there to sign for it and my wife has to work. I called the company up and asked if I could just pick it up directly from them which they were fine with. So I hopped in the wifey's Equinox to go and get it.

I had to take it out of the box to get it to fit in the back, even with the seats down. It ended up being easier that way since I didn't need to deal with disposing of a ginormous box, their dumpster was right next to the pickup area. I got the bumper back to the house and unwrapped. That's when I started to perform some minor surgery on it.



I had my other two LED modules for my emergency lights waiting to be installed in the grills. Here's a few pics of the process:



Once I got that all back together I removed the sport bumper. I snapped a quick pic of them side by side for a comparison. I love how much more aggressive the IPL bumper looks. It really changes the attitude of the car.



Once I had the IPL bumper fitted I had to do a little photoshoot at my favorite place by the river.













I'm not sure if I'll keep the tow hook on there or not. I didn't like the look of it on the sport bumper, but it seems to work on this one. Also, I got some shots of the car just before I swapped the bumper for some before and after comparisons.





So far I absolutely love the way it looks. It's been well worth the wait. I've wanted to upgrade to this bumper since the day I got my G.

 

I did a temporary hook up of my emergency lights to see how they look. I'll do the permanent wiring either tomorrow or Sunday. I got a quick video and a few pics of them in action.








These are dual mode LED modules. I have mode 2 set up as a fog light mode.

 

Great job with the before & after shots, that really shows how well that IPL compliments your coupe, and yep, you've got the photo skills too

 

I decided to put my GoPro suction cup mount to good use the other day to record an exhaust video:


I'm using the onboard mic audio since I was having some technical difficulties with my standalone audio. It still sounds pretty good, though. The dual mic setup on the Hero Session does a decent job of getting rid of wind noise.

 

I installed my LED interior visor bar yesterday. I'm one step closer to having my emergency response lighting complete! Take a look:
