The foreseen limiting factor is in my fuel system. I am trying to get CJM to build me some HR fuel rails and a fuel return system. However, to go for big power I would need to run a dual fuel pump system. I had to buy a different car to daily since my G has already been down for a month with another month to go (at best). The 'new' daily that I ended up getting cost quite a bit more than I originally anticipated - like 4 times more? - and ended up lowering my overall build budget:

Ultimately this means I will only be able to run a single fuel pump at this time. The motor and turbos theoretically should be good up to 1000whp. We are hoping for around 650whp off the single aeromotive 340lph, depending on what type of fuel is used.

This guy lol. Goes and buys a daily and gets a 8 cylinder 500 hp monster 63. Hats off to you brother lol. You will be able to see how the g runs against the E once its done. Should be a nice little test depending on if you make what your hoping to make. Looking forward to completion.

An E63? Around here that's the cost of a new house. Granted, it would be a very small house, but still... OMG.

Nice pick for your daily driver, Tony! I'm a big fan of the AMG's big V8's. I actually almost bought a C63 years ago when I originally bought my G. I was actually considering trading the G in on a E63 recently, but decided to put a GT350 on order and also just bought a Ram 2500 Limited instead.... it's interior actually makes my G look like an econobox... LOL. Then I'm probably gonna replace the G with a used S6 or S7 once the prices come down below $60K or $70 on those.

Not sure where you guys live, but you can pick up a pretty nice used 2012 or so E63 AMG for around $50K here in SoCal.

Oops... sorry, missed the Rochester, NY part... I actually grey up in Rochester, as my Dad went to graduate school at RPI, so now I understand what you mean.

So it's finally going to happen huh? These days are so sad for me, all the people who inspired me to get/stay with the G are parting out and moving on. At least it's usually to better platforms, such is life though I suppose..

Your join date is April 2013. You get inspired quick.

People move on, man. There's a huge component of members for whom getting the G was a step up.

This isn't my original account, I spent many years lurking before I decided to start contributing. I have had my car since 2008 (or 2009?) and 2GoRNot2G's is one of the cars that inspired me back then, mainly from driver I think.

Edit: My original account - I wasn't lying when I said lurker.

Agree that people move on, especially those who are looking for a platform that is easier/costs less to make power. While it is still a little disheartening, I will always wish them the best on their next project!
