This thread is amazing. I am just about to start on my car, so this is highly motivating. Thanks for all the info and dyno test results.

I recently heard about beluga racing. I talked to them when I was considering their resonated test pipes. Their service is pretty good and comes with 1 year warranty, so their headers might be an option for me in the future.

What I don't know now is if I should keep the MXP RTPs or go back to the FI RHFCs now that they are fixed.

Pros and cons. You're tuned for rhfc. You're not tuned for rtp. You'll get more power from rtp vs rhfc. Your exhaust will be louder with rtp vs rhfc.

My opinion is to keep the rtp and sell the rhfc within reason of the cost to retune if need be.

Now if you prefer the rhfc vs rtp then by all means.

If you could dyno twice with both rtp and rhfc then you'll be able to see how much power the pulleys and rtp make. Would stay on track with your dyno per power adder thread.

I might dyno it first with the RTP and then switch to RHFC. As of today, I like the quiet RHFC better. The RTP are too much for me inside the car, although my passengers can't notice the switch, but that is because I feather the throttle. Besides, I will be doing headers in the future and I don't want drone city.

Minor mod. Some matching lug nuts.

My Mod + Dyno Log-sropmnw.jpg

On another note, my FI RHFC are back and I will be putting them back on. Not sure if I should:

1. dyno the MXP RTPs with lightweight wheels+tires and NST pulleys

or switch back to FI RHFC before and

2. dyno the lightweight wheels+tires and NST pulleys

If you're looking for opinions, mine is that you keep your MXP resonated test-pipes on the car, and sell the FI cats. They're both resonated, so although they might very well sound different, I suspect the difference is minimal. And in so far as gains go, the likelihood is the test-pipes are better for lack of catalyst material.

Guesses, all of them.

Purple lugnuts to match purple calipers... eh. I don't really care for purple anything. Sorry, man. I didn't offer my opinion last month because it's not a complimentary one, but now that I'm commenting... well, there it is. Don't like them. Not at all. Plus, the OEM ride height is accentuated with aftermarket wheels and purple bling, which isn't a good thing.

The difference is noticeable. The rasp (although minimal and rare), weird deceleration sound, drone...I was surprised to how much difference a catalytic converter makes. I just didn't get used to them.

As for the caliper color, that's alright lol. It looks more pinkish in person anyway and I'm already saving up for coilovers

I guess the gear swap will have to wait

Everything still fine with the pulleys? I'm considering them myself, with my heavier/larger vossens I need to get ride of some rotational mass lol... Figured flywheel and pulleys should help... But I've heard nightmare stories about running lightweight pulleys...

I say dyno then swap and dyno again if u got a free 20 lying around. That way u can tell how much power u made with rtp... shiiiiid I'd even walk with the stock rims and swap on the dyno to see how much the pulleys made by itself then could subtract that number from the tires & pulleys to know much the tires made. U can still stay on track this way!

Pulleys still going strong. No issues at all.

I was planning on doing the DIY on the RHFC tomorrow, so I can sell the MXP RTPs ASAP, so unfortunately I can't do the RTP vs RHFC test.

Also, my stock wheels are without tires lol, so I guess I will end up testing the NST pulleys along with the lightweight wheels and tires. That was a great tip though. Sorry I had to disappoint.

Well, Rochester don't agree on this one. I happen to like purple stuff, could be because of the people eater song... Or that I "bleed purple", who knows?

The lugs are a contrast against the wheel which I think is a good thing but, by that photo, they seem to contrast against the caliper also. It's tough to match the custom colors, I've decided not to try and will be going neochrome in the future I think.

Did you have any issues dealing with NST when buying the pulley? I was doing some reading and there were rather unfriendly statements. But they get Anderson about me too so I know they can't all be true

In sunlight, the lug nuts and calipers match unless you look to find the difference, but in the dark or low light (like in my pics), the difference is noticeable.

Yes, I had alot of issues with NST. They would not respond and I had to make a claim through the bank for them to finally send the pulleys after two months.

Changing the topic, I got my FI RHFC installed and I can say that I missed them. No more weird deceleration sound, reduced drone and zero rasp. However, the MXP weren't as bad as I thought, even though that I prefer the RHFC.

Didn't DIY lol. Decided to get it done at a local muffler shop for a reasonable price.
