The RB26 head has been sent for porting, polishing and final prep work before getting fitted back in. The block is getting painted and drilled for the tensioner.
I've been waiting for someone to do something like this...
It goes without saying, put up a vid of how its sounds in the car when its done, I can't wait to hear it.
Wow this is amazing. I was just wondering when someone was going to go all in and do a crazy swap. Either RB, 2J, or LS. Good choice on the RB and I can't wait to see how it turns out.
Thing with a project like this is that its never been done before, not even locally. If everything goes as planned, she should be ready and tuned in a month, but then again, you never know what issues come up, none hopefully.
I'm excited to see you keeping it old school Nissan Sam, rather than going with an LS swap or something else. Your project will be unique and have some brand heritage. Are you scoring brownie points at work? Did you consider asking them to maybe sponsor it?

Always give yourself some extra cushion time. Anything that has to do with aftermarket can / will cause obstacles to overcome.

Yeah I had to maintain the Nissan DNA man. Unfortunately at work very very few people know what an RB engine is. A few Japanese guys from the technical dept and that's about it. It's the sad truth. I took my turbo to work the other day and showed it to the the GTR marketing department, they didn't know what it was. Told them there were two of these in your cars, still nothing lol

I just love the sound of the RB.
Agreed. I can't wait to hear it either, especially since it'll be mated to my Fast Intentions Exhaust!
