I was gonna start first thing I got it, but now you got me thinking about a RB30 block, around how much did you get yours for ? and what was needed to make it work with the RB26 head? or in my case RB25

The block was around $800 from the scrapyard, and that was for a good condition block There were cheaper ones for as low as $300. Since you already have an RB25 why don't you try it out and see how it goes?

If you do go with the RB30 route you'll need the following:

You'll need a timing belt to accommodate the twin cams (152 teeth)
RB30 Timing Belt for Dual Cam Conversions

Then you'll need the tensioner (a thread needs to be made in the block for it)
OE RB Timing Belt Tensioner

RB25 head bolts/studs (11mm I think) fit the RB30 perfectly
ARP Main Stud Kit - RB20 / RB25 / RB26 / RB30

Then you'll need to modify your oil pan to make it a front sump as was did on mine. This will require a little R&D from your side but any experienced shop should be able to pull it off.

I think it looks good but polished would probably be better. What color was you wanting it?

Yeah I wanted it either polished or silver. He wanted to do it matte black at first but I think it wouldn't go well with purple.
