Well some bad news to report… I stopped by Discount Tire due to a nail in my tire. As they were fitting to get the tire off they scuffed, scratched and chipped the face of the wheel. Not too happy but they are making it right by having a wheel fixing company fix the lip. I'm also getting a new tire.

That sucks Robert, I've had a few issues w/ Discount Tire, I now avoid them at all costs
Hope they do a quality repair on that high dollar wheel, that one wheel would buy about 3 sets of their crappy wheels

Yeah it sucks but hopefully it will get fixed in a short amount of time.
I went ahead and removed all four Forgeline wheels and put the OEM Enkei's on. I got to say when I lowered the floor jack I honestly LOL'd!
Car just looks too funny with them on. Oh well… Think I'm going to get it washed and serviced while the Enkeis are on and just clean up the Forgelines myself while they're off.
Also due to getting screwed by so many companies in the past and I don't trust dropping off a $1300+ wheel with just anyone I wrote the below letter for the store manager to sign incase I have to seek legal actions. Feel free to copy and adjust for your needs if you run into a similar situation.

Store Manager,
On November 08, 2013 I took my 2012 Infiniti G37S sedan into your store (TXH-68) due to a nail on the passenger side rear tire. During the dismounting of the tire some minor damage (chips and scratches) was done to the wheel; 19”x10.5” Forgeline MD3P with polished lip and gunmetal face. Robert, manager on duty that day, said he would have an outside wheel finishing company fix the damage at no cost to me.
Today, November 11, 2013 I am leaving the above mentioned wheel with Discount Tire. This letter is documentation that Discount Tire (store ##) is accepting the wheel with TPMS sensor & mounted tire, minus it’s center and valve stem cap for fixing by it’s outside wheel correction company.
Lastly, due to the location of the nail a new 285/35-19 Hankook Ventus V12 tire will be exchanged for the damage tire.

While every shop differs according to corporate culture and on-site management, one of the things I've grown to trust about Dealership service departments is their ability to mount tires on rims competently, with a reasonable balance; as well as standing behind the work when pressed on issues. In that theme, I've also developed a distrust of places called "Discount Tire" to do the same. Perhaps this is one of those moments where you come to that same conclusion. Or not. Your car, your experience, your choice. Just sharing where my head is at on mounting tires.
Coincidentally, just this morning I was at Honda with my wife's car for snow tire mount/balance. Wheels are undamaged (because I check these things, just like you), and the balance feels perfect.
Good luck on the repair, Robert.

Little update to the wheel deal….
Discount Tire (DT) contacted their local wheel correction "expert." He informed the manager he would need the wheel for two to three weeks since "…it has a chrome & polished lip." DT did not release the wheel to him and contacted me. When I went to DT we discussed options and questioned the local guy as you cannot (from my knowledge of metal) chrome and polish metal. DT went ahead and contacted Forgeline (before I arrived) who said it would be $300-$400 plus S&H to/from. DT does not have an agreement with Forgeline so I would have to pay and than be refunded. I went ahead and took back the wheel.
I contacted my wheel rep and pretty much had two options; 1) Send it to Forgeline 2) Find a local shop. Either way it was going to be out of my pocket. Did some research online for local shops and contacted my old HRE rep. He recommended American Wheel & Tire (AWT) in Houston. Research I found on them showed positive reviews.
I drove to AWT and was impressed with the large inventory they had. Spoke to one of their sales guy and said it would be $150 and should have the wheel back in 48 hours. Done deal in my book and left the wheel with them. On the way home stopped by DT and explained to the manager what I did and give him the invoice. He told me he would call as soon as he had $150 in the till to give me.
The next day I get a voicemail from AWT saying the wheel is ready for pick up. I was working so told them I would be by Thursday afternoon.
Thursday after work stopped by DT as they had left a voicemail saying they had the $150. Proceeded to AWT and the wheel look good as new. Went BACK to DT would mounted the new tire on the wheel with new plastics on their machine so it wouldn't get scratched again. No charge for mount & balance nor for the tire.
Came home and swapped the OEM's for the Forgeline's.
