Well I left my job in Iraq for a new position in Afghan. I depart for S.C. mid September. About a month home in total.

Just finished having the G, and Z, detailed. Washed, clay barred, polished and sealed. I must say... 1) It's nice not having that orange peel. 2) The Slate Blue really shines when cleaned up!!!

So I've been driving the G a lot lately. And I LOVE it. But someone was getting jealous so I'll be stretching her legs out tomorrow morning.

So this past weekend wife and I drove down to Seabrook to visit some friends. About an hour drive. As soon as we got on the road, set the cruise (80mph), the baby fell right to sleep and we just enjoyed the ride. Had lunch, talked and whatnot than made the return trip. Average about 23mpg. I have to say I'm really impressed with the car. Ride feels great. Even with the Swift spring and 19" wheels. Great MPGs (remember my Z gets 8-10). And the power was there when needed. Think I'll be keeping the car for some time.

You need to take a pic of both your VQs facing each other, especially w/ those previous quality photos, that would look pretty mean
BTW, how's the new baby getting along?

With the difference in colors it's hard to do a photoshoot with both. More difficult is driving both at the same time.

Layden is growing like a weed. Four months yesterday. Been a very happy baby. Easts well, sleeps great, poops... Mom takes care of poops.

Little update...

So when I returned home last month I notice one of my fog (right/passenger) HIDs out. I went ahead and bought a set of 6000k headlight bulbs & 6000k fog bulbs from Diode Dynamics. (In fairness I haven't contacted them yet.) Today I went to replace/diagnose the fog bulbs and replace the headlight bulbs.

Starting with the fog bulbs I checked all connections and everything looked good. Replaced the bulb with the new one and no joy. Check everything again and notice on the fuse/breaker box some rust. Said screw it and went back to OEM. Will have to contact Lightwerkz as they were who I originally purchased the HID kit from.

Onto the headlights... Last year when I added the HID fog kit I ordered a set of 6000k bulbs as well from Lightwerkz. No joy. They would turn on and immediately go off. Since I did this install the day before depart back to Iraq I forgot to call Lightwerkz and see my options. Today with the bulbs from Diode Dynamics I had the same issue. I did notice on one of the sets they were D2C and OEM said D2S. I will need to discuss this with Lightwerkz and Diode Dynamics.

Lastly... Found something I'm disappointed in Infiniti with. While I had my front wheels off I firgured to give the OEM sport brakes a quick wipe down. Those cheap asses only powder coated half the brake caliper! lol

Oh one more point... When I ordered my Forgeline's I asked for a gloss black inner barrel. Holy hell it was easy just to spray some quick detailer and wipe them down. I will be doing the same in the future rather than a machine uncleared/gloss finish.

Thanks Nick. I've been meaning too but just been busy. Mother in-law moving out and my mother moving in.

Wow, that's a better premise for a TV show than half the stuff TBS is putting out

Well, tried a second set of 6000k HID bulbs with no luck. Nick going to email you shortly.

Also since I removed the HID fog kit I replaced the OEM bulbs with a set of PIAA 35w yellow fogs. Swapped the dual filament turn to a single and added white LED parking bulbs. Daytime pics don't really show everything.
