Keep Eibach or buy Swift Lowering Springs with KYB struts and shocks?
Hi, my struts and shocks need replacing and I was able to get a good deal on a set of new KYB parts. Btw, I've considered coilovers but ultimately decided against them. Currently, my car, which I obtained a year ago, has Eibach springs put on by the previous owner. I don't mind them too much, but I do scrape over certain speed bumps easily. Initially, I was looking at putting Swift springs because they provide a slightly mild drop and most users reported that they didn't need to install camber kits although there were some exceptions (mainly for the rear). On the other hand, almost everyone with the Eibachs was required to obtain a camber kit for both front and rear. Nevertheless, I'm wondering if you would recommend going for the new Swift springs ($330) as opposed to keeping the old Eibachs, which would need replacing in the future, or simply build off the Eibachs with installing a camber kit (SPC for $800 or MR for $400)? Even with the swift spring which I am on, I have SPC front and rear camber arms and toe bolts. A few people have gone without doing the front control arms and did the rears only. You can also get the control arms a bit cheaper from eBay by messaging the seller or giving them an offer that is what I did. With stock camber arms I was basically running -2 degrees of camber all around but I do have a G37X, not sure if it will be the same for RWD.
