2010 G37x Swift springs
2010 G37x Swift springs
So I looked at many of the lowering options out there and have came to the conclusion coilovers and air bags are just too expensive. Ive seen a lot of guys love swift springs and say they didnt need a camber kit. My only real question is, is there any problems with the stock shocks or struts when you drive on swift spings for an extended period of time? I dont see the point of buying springs if you have to constently replace you shocks and struts. Ive heard you put a lot of tention on your stock struts when using lowering spings but im not 100% sure could anyone that has had swift springs for a while shed some light on this? Thanks
There are no issues that I've come across with driving on the Swifts for an extended period of time, as I did for nearly 13k miles. On the other hand coilovers can be had for under $1000 (especially used). You don't NEED a camber kit with these springs, but you will be out of factory spec. It shouldn't chew your tires up too quickly.
It is going to wear the struts out faster with lowering springs. The exact amount is really unknown and varies.
I was probably in minority of not liking swift's on my xS sedan, but I bought my car used with like 40k miles and ran them for about 15k. Maybe my struts were already going before the swift's finished them off...

I have swifts on my 09X and nothing but good things! Comments on the drop ( Not too aggressive) so bumps and driveways aren't hard to get into. I'm on my stock shocks ad struts and at 68k on them, 9k on swifts, No issue other than a rear link broke, replaced under warranty
