Swift Springs with Stock Shocks - Performance/Longevity?
Forgive me if this has been covered elsewhere here, but I didn't have the energy to search through the other Swift Spring threads.
Taking a survey from those of you who have installed Swift Springs in your Journey sedans and used the stock OEM shock absorbers.
How have you felt the stock shocks performed, and what kind of life (mileage) have you gotten out of them?
Most "experts" say that the stock shocks will not work well or will not last long with lowering springs. I was just wondering how true this really is.

Also consider the current wear on your shocks. I see you have a 2011, depending on mileage, you could already be nearing the useful end of the OE shocks.
If you're not DIY'ing the springs, you'll essentially pay twice for the install when you end up replacing the OE dampers.
I don't think most people notice the slow degradation of stock shocks because it happens so slowly.

i had a bad install of my swift springs. the mechanic damaged the struts while trying to remove the OEM springs. The struts were too rusty and stuck that he had to force it and 6 months later my struts began to leak...but nonetheless the springs and bad roads in boston played their part in degrading the struts
swift springs and oem shocks
I have swift springs and kyb shocks on my 2010 g37x. Looks great!! rides terrible!(for me) I would recommend better than oem shock, or coil overs, which i should of just done in the first place.
