Eibach Pro Kit Installed

Just want all to know that I've finally installed my Eibach Pro Kit and man what a great difference in looks and handling. With the Hotchkiss sway bars and the new springs on the stock sport shocks which have only 2500 miles on them, this car rocks. It feels so connected to the road; better overall ride which isn't as harsh as the stock suspension is; instant feedback to any maneuvers; virtually flat during cornering; and it just plain feels fantastic. Outside of the extra horsepower and the red seats, I would bet this $500 mod outperforms the IPL model. It's just plain fun to drive. In two months since I bought it, I've tinted the windows, added Hotchkiss sways,changed the springs to Eibach's and have de-badged the rear trunk of the Infiniti name. Next will be the Goodridge brake lines and eventually some better pads for the tracks schools I instruct at. Eventually there will be some lightweight two-piece rotors from Racing Brake and the car is ready for just about anything. Man I haven't had this much fun with a car since I bought my NSX 20 years ago which I still have. Two great Japanese cars in my garage. Life is good.

NSX Upgrade

The 1991 NSX has had mainly suspension upgrades over the years. She now sits on KW V3 coil overs (great setup) with Comptech sways on street rubber 16" front & 17" rear which are stock rims. I've had a custom Wilwood front brake upgrade which fits under the 16" rims (just barely) but works great. The rears are upgraded stock calipers with two piece RB rotors. The only major mod for the engine are Comptech stainless steel headers and a CAT back exhaust. The 5 speed has been modified with the Japanese short gears and 4:23 rear end. Nice enhancement but the newer six speed is better. Still a thrill to drive but the G37S is a close second.

Also I was told by my salesman that the emblem on the back and front of the car doesn't represent Mt. Fuji but rather two lines going off into infiniti and never converging. Similar to railroad tracks going off into a very distant horizon.

Nice upgrades. $500 mod will surely outperform IPL. Good to know that you are track instructor. G37 not exactly track car, but definitely fun to drive. On my last event I did 2:08 at Buttonwillow with G37. During lunch break organizers invited whoever have done 2:05 or better to get extra session. I guess they squeezed me in because I was on G37. Not on any other cars like GTS, STI, Evo, or an NSX.......

I think the car is very capable of posting some great times depending on the driver and other potential mods. As an example, Peter Cunningham, who is the premiere pro driver of the NSX when it was competing, would take a bone stock NSX and blow by all but the best of the modified cars and drivers during one of our annual club events. The car was bone stock but in his hands he knew how to get the most of it and often most of us think to get a car to go fast we need more mods. Often it's we need more track schooling in our driving skills. But that's what part of the fun is and it helps keep me young and especially "alive" on most street roads. Take care,
