Brake squeal when not braking

As the title says. And the sound goes away when braking, but comes back as soon as I release the brake pedal. I did have the Akebono kit installed with Centric Posi-quiet pads and Brake Performance slotted/dimpled rotors. Shop that did the install took a second look and didn't find anything. I do trust them implicitly too.

The calipers were ordered as brand new, so I highly doubt there'd be anything wrong with them. Sound isn't effected with the e-brake so it has to be the fronts.

Brakes work great. Bedded them in. Pressure is good. Stopping is quick. Everything in that respect seems as it should be.

Just looking for ideas. Sounds like dragging pads, but inspection didn't find anything.

Just looking for more ideas.

Possible. But would they have anything to do with this noise going away when actually engaging the brakes? That's what's getting me.

Maybe the pads I got from Rock Auto are defective, but there are no marks on the rotors or anything. At least not on the visible face.

One culprit I can think of is the brake wear "feelers" since these make noise until you apply the brakes, maybe one of them is somehow coming in contact
Here's a couple links that may have helpful info~

Yes
Happened to me.
Applying the brakes deadens the sound of dust shields rubbing the rotor.

Ah. Good to know. I bet that's what it is then. I need to dig into this. Just haven't had the time. Sigh!

Thank you!
