2 lowering questions for a G37s sedan

2 lowering questions for a G37s sedan

Hello forum. I have a 2010 G37s sedan that I want to start modding tastefully.

I am considering either the tanabe nf210 or eibach pro kit springs. I'm leaning towards the eibachs because I think they result in a more even fender gap f/r when done (that's how it seems from the pictures I've seen - is this accurate?). I will be shoeing on 19" rims as I like the balance of the look with some sidewall (20" is not for me). Also will be putting in meatier sway bars.

Question 1 - Do I need to also upgrade the shocks to support the higher spring rates, or are the sport package shocks up to the task? If not, what pairs the best with these springs? This is my daily driver, mind you.

Question 2 - It also seems there are a couple choices for sway bars with differing opinions on both. i imagine it's a personal choice, so I'd just like to know from a feature standpoint if the stillens vary much wrt the hotchkis ones? I'm assuming they are both adjustable. I want the bars in order to not only reduce rolls, but to tune the over/understeer characteristics to my preference.

Oh, also... if I want to do it right, what alignment kits do I need F and R? I dont mind the extra cost - better than burning through tires and limiting handling.

SPC camber kits, but you should be able to get back into spec (just barely) with only an eibach drop.

You don't need to change out the struts if you don't want to. The stock struts hold up fine, but if you do decide to up the ante, get some koni struts. Koni struts and Eibach springs

I have eibach sways on my car and like the fact that the front is adjustable as well as the rear. (Hotchkis are only rear adjustable for rwd) But hotchkis have great reviews too. Can't go wrong with either one, just get whichever one you get a better deal on.

Thanks surfjax. I saw that Koni thread but assumed the Coupe shocks aren't the same setup as the Sedan ones- are they actually interchangeable? if so, I'm down for koni!

Do they have shortened bump stops to take advantage of as much travel as possible, or will i be hitting the bump stops with that setup?

On another note, I just ordered a takeda CAI (to hold me over until I get an SC) and I'm receiving it today! Pumped!

If you end up wanting the pro kit I may sell mine. Brand new, just got here this week. I was going to go with 20s but went with oem 19s instead. So now I don't think I want to drop it.

I don't know, I got them for $250 or $260 shipped. (So pretty close to that) I was going to see if I can return them. (or I may still use them) I should have my new wheels on by next week. After I see how the car looks I will let you know. Whats your zip code so I can look up the cost of shipping.

I'm in the SF bay area right now, but will be moving to McLean, VA area in early May. So try 22101 as a zip code to estimate shipping.

If the cost is the same as retail, I'll just go retail. Just a fair heads up.

Yeah, If I am selling them I was thinking local because they are pretty heavy. If shipping isn't to much I can probably work something out. If is $50.00 or more its not really worth it for me.

Also if you're looking to get them installed and not do it yourself. Just to give you a couple numbers to go off of. I was quoted by two shops. The first shop said $580 (5 1/2 hrs) installed and alignment. The second shop said $400 (for 6 hours) installed and then I found a place to do the alignment for $60.00.
