Well, I usually don't mess around and I'm already annoyed by this.

So I'm gonna go for the easy fix, new mechanic and new Tein Coilovers. Bam. Voilą. Basically, I went for the S-tech springs + camber kits because I was not looking for so much adjustability in ride height and stiffness. But now that this is getting complicated and that my mechanic is not being cooperative, I'm changing my strategy.

I'm looking for an aggressive street setup but nothing too serious about taking it to the track...

Dunno if I should go for the TEIN coilovers now... Some say the Super Streets are too soft... Flex perhaps?

Thanks!

Jeff
sorry for ur dilema... I was on th market for some coilovers and did a month worth of research for th set up that would satisfy my needs and was considering either th ssp or th flex... I bit th bullet and went with th FLEX for a few reasons... Independent height adjustment, adjustable damping... Etc... To lower th ssp ur taking away some stroke travel therefore can experience bottomin out if on a too soft and slammed setting... Hence th too soft review.. Main reason i went flex and prayed that it wouldn't be too stiff and unbareable... I have been on them for two weeks and Incan honestly say that i couldn't be any happier!!! I love th ride and the greatly improved handlin... Started at 8stiff setting and just bumped it to 12 in th front this morning... Just perfet!!! Drove to Fontana from Hollywood on th 10 east freeway... An hour drive... And absolutely loved it!!! Go Flex, u won't regret it one bit!!! Oh, and my gf didn't like th idea of stiffer ride when i was looking into th teins but loves it herself... Its like an aggressive stock feeling but hella better at 8 in th front 8 rear... im sittin at 12 f and 10 rear... And just love it... Gf friendly... Lol... U won't regret it... Friend is on eibach springs and going flex too after feeling my ride... His spring set up is crappy compared to mine... And its perfectly fine for long trips too... Haven't had them long but have put like 150 miles on them... Good chunk in th highway....

As for my car, I bought my black on black 010' G37S Coupe back in April 2010. Made a few mods since then including the Tein S-Tech springs, some SPC front camber kits and SPC rear camber&toe arms.

Today, I am writing about this particular mod. I've had the car realigned to fit almost stock settings, which is what I wanted. I expected a stiffer and more nervous ride, which is totally normal and acceptable to me. I used to drive a dropped Prelude which was actually lower than my G37 at the moment...

Sure, the car looks GREAT right now and I'm loving the new looks.

However, I am getting VERY bad ride quality right now. I will try to explain the best way I can the way that it feels... The rear of the car feels like its swaying from side to side like crazy when I hit the smallest bumps! My old prelude was 4WS and I would almost compare it to feeling the wheels ''turn'' a little bit in the rear...

Furthermore, the ride quality on a wet surface has dropped DRAMATICALLY. Once again, the rear of the car just bounces around and feels like its totally out of control as it hits the smallest bump or uneven surface on the highway. And we arent talking about hydroplaning here...

I told my mechanic about it and he had that ''Just screwing bolts around'' attitude, as if he put the springs and camber kits with little to no adjustments, plug and play type of deal.

I also want to mention that I always drive around with the traction control set to OFF (VCD thing...).

I am writing here because I don't understand why my ride quality is so bad. I have read multiple times that the S-Tech ride quality was not too bouncy. I agree that my judgement may differ from these guys but my current ride quality is totally unacceptable; it just seems so obvious to me. I think I would have difficulty selling the car right now if I was doing such a thing...

I would appreciate any help, comments, or ideas,

Thanks a bunch guys,

Jeff

I have s-techs too and I'm having the same exact problems you were. Its terrible... If you found a resolution please get in touch with me. I cannot drive this car in the rain over 35 or I'm off the road. I've had Infiniti do 3 alignments and I've replaced all the tires twice.. This did NOT get rid of the problem.. Worst springs ever!!!!
