2013 X Sedan Swift Springs and Vossen CV5 Wheels

Just like the title says. My X sedan lowered on Swift Springs. I went with the SPC rear camber kit as well although I've been told you could do without. Unfortunately they did not give me the alignment sheet so I'm not exactly sure what the specs are. The guy claimed he "got them in spec."

I was really surprised with the ride quality. I've had Tein S-techs and Bc coils on my previous X coupe but I feel the Swift's top both of them. The Tein's sucked but what do you expect from a 2" drop spring. The BC's were nice but I was pretty low so that compensated for some of it. Swift's are the perfect springs for a DD.

The wheels are Vossen CV5. Front: 20x9+32, 245/35 V12 Tires. Rear: 20x10.5+45, 275/30.

Does anyone know if i could bump up the rear to a 285 and not rub? I'll be in the market for new tires soon.

Well here are a few before and afters. I had to lighten some of them so sorry if the exposure and contrasts are all haywire lol.

looks awesome

I think Photobucket does a certain amount of auto-resizing your pic. Maybe try resizing it yourself using a decent image editor before uploading, and tell photobucket to not auto-resize it.

Thanks man!

I just found that Flickr works best. I could be wrong but I believe Photobucket only lets you upload 1024x768 and lower.

Flickr let me use original image size but I went and reduced some of them so it doesn't take years to load

Still took awhile, but worth the wait.
Nice looking drop and you already know I'm a big fan of the other stuff you've done.
I'd go back and demand that spec sheet, that's something you should know.

Always kind words from you sir! Thank you

And I've been debating doing that. Is that something they have on record or would it be too late now? I'm curious how my fronts are

Hopefully they still have records of it, not sure why they wouldn't have given it to you in the first place I'd be insistent, and if they have to put it back on the rack to get the specs so be it. That's what you paid for.

As far as 285s, should be OK, my 295s on my 10" +45 would be essentially the same fit at the fender, and there's a few that have run 295s on 10.5 +45 Vossens so you should be good unless you go w/ a tire that happens to run extra wide. Might put a piece of foam or magazine that's 5mm thick up to your 275 sidewall to get a better visual at the fender compared to a measuring tape.

Car looks great!

Curious to see how the different diameter tire sizes affect the drivetrain being AWD. The only change I would make is a slightly taller tire to fill up the wheel wells a little more and get a little more comfortable ride for a DD.

In the past I have always received them as well. The shop that installed my springs brought it over to get aligned so I wasn't there when it happened. Next time I'm in that part of town I'll see if I can get it and post it up.

For the 285 I would run a 30 still correct? I don't want to have to bump it down to a 25.

Staggered on the AWD is surprisingly pretty popular. As long as you stay fairly close to the original diameter you shouldn't have any problems.

I agree though, that is why I want to try a 285 next. Although the ride isn't bad with the 35/30 combo. You just have to avoid any damages in the road but that should be the case for any tire.

Being AWD the 245/35 & 275/30 combo isn't the best, it's close to 1% smaller in back and since the rears wear faster it won't take much to get over 1% variance and can be a problem over 75mph. Going to a 285/30 in back along w/ your 245/35 front is much better diameter-wise (only .07% smaller in back).
If you find when test fitting for another 5mm you find it's too tight you can run a 235/35 front 275/30 in back and you'd be in great shape there too (just 0.07% larger in back).

I'll have to keep that in mind. I still have some life left on my current ones and with winter coming fast it'll wait til next spring. Thanks for the help though

Here is another pic I forgot to upload. The clearance I have pulling down into my parking garage. I was pushing my luck but it worked out perfectly, lets just hope they're done settling lol

You can run 285/30 in the backs with no problem. I am lowered on Swifts as well, and with 285 DWS in the back on CV5s lol.

AWD Swifts win again. That certainly is the go-to solution for AWD Sedans.

Weird about the alignment... but it should be on record. I just had mine aligned yesterday at our local Infiniti Dealership, and was with the technician the whole time. He needed me there because I was directing what camber I wanted in the rear. Can't tell for sure because of the angle of your pictures, but it looks like you have a little poke there in the rear, and could stand to have it pulled in a little.

Or not. Your car, not mine. And obviously I'm super sensitive to these considerations because very recently I've been living it too.

Your car looks great with those wheels and the drop. Very nice.
