wheels and 0-60 times

Couple questions, if anyone can help that would be great.

I've been looking for 0-60 times for the various G models and can't find em. At this point I'm more interested in the official Infiniti numbers for the Journey w/Auto, but will take what I can get.

Other question, I think I read that the Journey Sport package includes bigger brakes. I'm not a fan of 19in wheels (wear too fast, cost too much to replace, rougher ride IMHO) Will 18's fit on a G37S?

Not all of them. They have to be cut for big brakes.

Motor Trend estimated 0-60 in 5.2 and Road & Track says 5.5, both for the 6MT.

The wheels wear too fast? Now sure I follow...

I figured someone would comment on that. 19" tires wear faster and cost more to replace than 18's.

Why would 19's wear too fast as opposed to the 18's?

claims 4.9 0-60 in G37s.
lies, unfortunately.

There is no significant difference in tire wear between 19" and 18" If anything you'll have to replace your 19"s a few weeks sooner than your 18"s.. not a big deal.

If your talking about the sport brakes. yes they are going to wear faster. the pad is softer then the standard brakes. if your talking about the wheels. then the size is not going to matter. if you have the oem tire bridgestone reo50's in either 18 or 19 they are going to wear the same.

Every tire guy I've ever talked to has told me the lower the tire profile the faster they'll wear. Something to do with heat buildup and having less sidewall to help the heat dissipate. I've never had first hand experience though.

the only time you will see a significant change in wear is when you add a wider tire because you are changing the contact patch on the ground. so you may see un even or sparatic wear throughout the tire if you dont compensate the air pressure to balance everything off. even then it will still wear odd..
