Parking brake equalizer is uneven
I'm in the same boat rn.
Going to start digging, hoping I don't have to replace the cables and can just free it up at the equalizer.
Edit: got the the cable free, but it seized up when I went to break in new pads...New part is now $172 - $125 anywhere online.
Edit2: went caveman and pulled the whole cable. Set it up in a vise and got to work with the pb blaster. Added a bunch of dry and silicone lube till it slid back n forth, butter smooth. Cable was visibly rusting near the point where it attaches to the knuckle. I lost the rubber plug that goes on the rotor, so I wonder if water gets inside and rusts that way.
Anyway passed safety and back on the the road.
