Rears are incredibly simple, fronts are a huge pain on the X. When I installed my coils, I followed this:

and this has good instructions for unbolting the A-arm (step 6 of the front coil install in the above link, you don't need to remove the A-arm if you're not installing a camber kit, just unbolt it so the assembly drops):

Those two saved my life, I was stuck on my front install until I found those.

 

Looks good! I am receiving similar quotes here locally and it's just not worth it to me to pay someone that much to do such a simple install.

 

I have a 2012 G37X that I dropped on Eibach's - these are designed for the RWD model only and my rear suspension dropped way lower than the 1.4" advertised on eibach.com. The rear suspension sags more than the front and looks terrible. Also as the springs settle it gets worse over time.

I'm switching out my rear suspension with Swift's which are designed for the X model - the advertised drop is 0.8 - 1" so that should make a difference.

 

I just dropped my 2011 x sedan on Eibach's (6390.14) and the rear springs are physically shorter than the stock rear springs, I knew this would cause an unintended increase in rear-drop, but I guess this is the result of purchasing springs designed and tested for another model. I can live with this.

What I CAN NOT live with is the horrible clunking sound coming from the front end. I've checked the tie rod end-links and sway bar end-links. I've tightened the a-arms in the loaded position, and have done whatever else I can think of to check for the source of the problem. Has anyone else had a similar issue?

Here's everything I installed:
- Eibach Pro-Kit (6390.14)
- SPC Camber Kit (f/r)
- 20mm spacers (f)
- 25mm spacers (r)

Any advise or solutions would be awesome. The springs are not binding, and they come with plastic shields between each coil to prevent metal-on-metal contact during compression. Could the shock's piston be hitting the bump stop in the strut?
