Question KWV1 coilover install / recommendations for DIY

Going for the big drop next week and was hoping someone that has experience with the installation processes could maybe make a few suggestions? I have done coilover installation before, just not on such an expensive vehicle so I want to be sure to get this right.

My main concern is that I have everything needed for this to go smoothly and hopefully creak/noise free.

Seeing as I have kwv1 I thought about purchasing an extra set of strut top hats, but after seeing the price I'll probably just swap them from OEM strut assembly because I doubt I'll ever go back to stock suspension.

Your thinking, get to the point already...

THE MAIN QUESTION :
Will I need or would you suggest I get replacement strut gaskets or can I reuse OEM?

Any other suggestions?

Thanks guys!

I re-used my strut gaskets with my V1's I have had no issues for a few years now. I would think if they are worn out or not seated properly you may get some squeaking (this goes for the re-use of the top hats too)?

As far as I can tell the top hats look to be good, but if they are original (85,000 miles) I guess I should reconsider replacing them... Ugh..

Thanks for the quick response !

My OEM gaskets were in good shape when I installed my coils w/ about 35k on my G, they seem to be pretty durable gaskets. As long as they're not ripped during take off I think you could reuse them w/out issue.
Just be sure to PB blast that front lower strut nut the night before the install.

Sweetness I'll be careful with the gaskets.

” Just be sure to PB blast that front lower strut nut the night before the install."

I wouldn't have thought to do this the night before, great tip. Thank you Blnewt.

P.s. many pictures / reviews to come ! I'm probably going to do a build page since I have done numerous mods in the past few months since I bought the G. ( CAN'T STOP )
