Tweeter Pods or A-Pillar mod?

I am trying to find some tweeter pods or see some DIY on how to modify the A-Pillar for my tweeters. I will be installing Hertz HSK-165 XL's, with the 6.5's in the same place the 10" Bose are now. I have not been able to find a thread with good pics or tutorial on installing the tweeters in the a-pillar or in some kind of pod next to the a-pillar.

Try the DIY Mobile Audio ( DIYMA ) if you can't find anything here.

Most likely it's going to be something youl'll need to fabricate yourself or pay someone to fabricate it for you if you're not good with fiberglass.

I did find a thread on DIYNA.com that showed people using PVC caps to create pods for the tweeters. I think once I get my speakers Ill try and go that route. I did find a shop fairly close to me that may be able to help me with a solution (customize a-pillar).

I put my tweeters in the A pillars after I found out that I wasn't going to be able to run a new set of wires to the stock tweeter location in the sail panel.

Great job on that build. I want to have a little more of an angle with the tweeters. I think I will try the pod route since I dont need to mod the a-pillar too much to accommodate it. I found a car audio place about 70 miles from me (i live in the middle of the desert) and they seem to do a lot of custom work. I may just ask them to do up something for the a-pillars. I would really like to try a 3 way component setup but i know tuning is going to be time intensive. I am willing to spend up to around $1k for speakers. Im thinking about a Audion AV5.1K amp instead of the JL HD 900/5. Just waiting on some money and then pulling the trigger.
