Months ago I installed Diode Dynamic's DIY (Now they sell a specific plug-and-play kit for the G37 ) Tail-As-Turn modules to bypass the incandescent blinkers and make the LED rings my turn signal. Now since the incandescent bulb wire was cut, the wattage is lower than normal and the car thinks the bulb is burnt out.

To fix it, I also purchased DD's resistor kit. But, I haven't been able to fix the hyper-blinking. Maybe I'm wiring the resistors incorrectly?

In the first picture, I wired the resistor to the stock blinker wire that was cut and then other side to ground. Second picture, wired resistor to the LED rings before the module and then to ground-- to no avail.

I emailed DD and one of their reps said to, "install the resistor on the turn signal wire that you cut, before the module, and attach the other end to the ground."

Any ideas?

My guess is the resisters aren't wired in properly.

 

Morgan, are you still having the problem?

If you are, you should move the resistor tap (the one you relocated between pic 1 and pic 2) to the solid green wire next to the white (OEM block) plug. That is your turn signal. I was having a similar issue too.

 

My tail-as-turn just came in, it is great but really hard to disconnect the wires from package.

 

From what package? The bundle of wires inside the trunk?

And do you have a sedan?

 

Yes I am still having the problem. The DD guy said to connect the resistor (before the module) to the dark-green wire with the lime-green stripe that was cut.

You connected the resistor to the yellow / spliced into solid-green wire that is coming after the module going into the white OEM block pug??

^ Yes your resistor needs to go on the green side of the area you circled.

The solid green wire is the turn signal wire, so that's the wire that needs the resistor. It was about 2 days that I lived with the hyper blinking. Drove me nuts. Not sure how you managed for so long. LoL

 

Just jumping in to confirm what everyone else is saying. I had the same issue and now I wired it up there any everything works properly.

 

I got used to it. I tried rewiring the resistors so many times that I gave up..
