Apparently I'm asking ppl to go to the moon or some sh**. Nobody will do it so far. All I'm getting is, "why don't you just replace the caliper"

Time is money. Replacing the caliper takes much less time than rehabilitating the caliper.

Time is money sure, but they're not even giving me a quote. Just a no. I'm not asking for any favors, just work I'm willing to pay for

Give this a look, just so you know what's involved, and TBH, not much really, especially since the rears only have 2 pistons

Yup seen that video before. Which makes it more annoying that I can't find anyone to do this. I think I may have though; a powder coater.

Can anybody tell me if I'll get full core reimbursement if I send back non-sport calipers after ordering Akebono's?

I'd go through DiscountInfinitiParts.com or another Infiniti online site (they are just regular dealers but have these sites set up to have online visibilty. There is no core charge when going through them. And yes, I would think there would be a problem sending them back the base floating calipers if they're paying attention.

Just checked on discount Infiniti parts web site right front and both rear calipers are now showing a $70 core charge. None on the left front though. 205.34 plus core on the rear, 213.17 plus core on the right front, 220.27 no core on the left front. Seems odd for new but that's what its currently showing. A phone call might be a good idea if ordering from them at the moment.

Yeah, that's what I found when I added them to my cart too. I guess maybe I'll call on Monday and see what they say.

Hmmm, that's something new to me on these official Infiniti part shops. Might try going down this list and see if you can find some that don't core charge. https://www.google.com/search?q=disc...utf-8&oe=utf-8

I'm going to be installing akebonos on my g37 sedan journey. The calipers came from an FX. My question is the parking brake. What goes into getting the rear ones on

The parking brakes are the same on all Akebonos (and the G base brakes too) AFAIK.

Stoptech lines in the first post work well and are priced right at Rockauto.com and if you get the pads from them you might save some shipping too
