SPC arms contacting fender, Lets see your solutions?
Hey Guys
I recently installed the newest version SPC front camber arms and am having issues with them contacting the top of the fender even after installing both provided jounce spacers. Im sitting at a little over 25" and didn't have this issue with the OEM arms. I needed the extra camber so I bought these, they fixed my camber issue but created another problem...Don't know what to do? I just got off the phone with the guys at SPC. They claim to know that this is a very common issue with our cars however have no solution to this problem other then to cut or hammer out upper fender...
Im sure others have been in this situation, what have you done other then raising the car? Have you cut a slot for your arms to come through the engine bay? If so, do you have pics?
Thank you

Has anyone else with these arms been able to run something in the neighborhood of a 26 inch ride height without contacting the fender on a coupe? Not sure if maybe the sedans have different inner fender wall clearance when compared to the coupes that would make this issue more apparent at higher ride heights.

That was just my experience. Geometry is going to be slightly different front vehicle to vehicle. I was a little disappointed that I couldn't go lower but this ride height looks perfect and feels right for my needs.
I was a bit under 26" w/my springs, now about 26.25" w/ my coils and never had any contact issues (Sedan), I don't have the latest SPC arms but the previous version (the ones that initially replaced the first SPC version that was having contact issues). Seems like the current "upgraded" version may be a bit higher in the fender

26.5!!! Damn it, there is no way I can raise my car to that height... I guess ill either be getting rid of these, or cutting the fenders. Both options SUCK! making camber arms to obtain -/+ camber yet forces you to have a 26.5" ride height??
Thanks guys for the responses.

Lol, I've got three car seats in the back. Even at 26.5 I still scrape my my lip on bumps and potholes are a biz natch. Let us know if you decide to cut out an opening.

Speed bumps lol. I avoid those haha, i have talked to my shop and they will probably be cutting a opening and then welding a cover over it to prevent debris from coming into the engine bay... Pretty disappointed with SPC

The stock dampers dont help either!!
At 25" your issue is more with scraping Botts" Dots on the freeway!!
When pulling the wheel, you should read SPC on outer edge of the ball joint slider.
No to say thats your problem, but it has been an issue with others.
