Huh, that's interesting. I'm surprised that anything under 26.5 was making contact with the fender.
For the record, SPC hasn't sold the 2nd generation in years. The third and final generation should come with a BLACK boot. Red was once upon a time, way the hell long ago. I just ordered my set through SPC directly via our vendor account. Spoke with Jeff and he confirmed this.

The announcement was early July 2012
I sent my 2 gen in directly to SPC for the 3rd gen upgrade. Has a red boot.
Can any one confirm what's going on here. I believe what TvPostSound is saying however SPC is saying otherwise
Vendors can you chime in?
So Johnny sent me a set of older arms???\
EDIT:
I just spoke with Jeff at SPC, the 3rd gen arms have both red and black boots on the bj.
They just recently changed over to black boots.
To confirm the 3rd gen had a revised construction, and the rod is welded at 3 sides to the flat metal plate.

The new model has better welds and longer round stock, this is mine, same as yours above!!
We both have the newer versions!!

This is yours, same welds:
Not over rated at all, but if you're only dropping 1.3" or less you should get in spec or close enough. If you're dropped more than that you'll have a tough time keeping both camber & toe in spec. Be prepared to chew up some tires if your toe is out. Getting just the rear toe kit (about $60) might be enough to get both in spec if you're not too low.
Is it a big deal to widen the slot for the toe bolt? It doesn't sound like it's reversible if for some reason it gets messed up during the install. Do you think I can get away with just installing the camber link? Drop will be mild.
And no, the toe slot isn't reversible without having to refab the support.
I just want to close the fender gap all around, with the front a little lower than the rear. I don't have exact ride height measurements in mind, but from what I've read on here and seen in other people's pictures, it'll probably be in the 26.5" to 27" range, give or take.
