Help SPC Front Camber Kit Rattle
I'm no engineer, but the PSI of those metal components repeatedly ramming each other -- regardless of a piece of rubber in between -- has got to be damaging in the long term to something.
I'm returning mine if all the "redesign" consists of is a piece of rubber that masks the underlying design flaw. I'd rather go through tires a little faster than having a suspension component fail at speed.

its a bump stop for the suspension, not the arms. This will eliminate the A Arms hitting anything. Longevity is must. This is only happening to those who have springs that drop really low, and have low spring rates.
Regardless, a redesign should be under way. I am just telling you guys what is being done currently and not giving you a general answer.

I cant speak for the rest of the users on this forum, but I have 1" of travel when the car sits at a static position, bump stops will do nothing for me. I need more travel, bottom line, and thats what I told SPC. You lose ~2.5" of travel with these arms. I'm sure they will redesign and send out to anyone who needs them. Understand tho, engineering is not an exact science.
As I documented in the other thread it does happen on Eibach springs, but not too often.
And how do those of us that already have the arms get the bump stops for the interim period? Write SPC directly?

Call the retailer you bought the arms from. They should receive them from SPC.
OK Guys.. I just talked the design engineer at SPC and I need to ask someone to help me out. I need someone at stock height to take a few measurements. Car needs to have all stock components (control arms, springs, shock) please. Take a measurement from the top of the ball joint to the fender well. There is a recessed pocket stamped into the metal. Measure from the top of the joint to the point in the pocket where the ball joint would make contact, if it were to. Im guessing it'd be ~2.5". Please PM me with the info. Thanks
This is going to ne near impossible to do. Even at stock height, I am not sure there is enough room to get your hands and am tape measure up past the tire to measure under load from the ball joint to the recessed pocket. That is why I did it like I did in post #28. I took pictures and measurements of the differences. I sent all the information and the pictures from post #28 to Jeff @ SPC yesterday at 12:10pm ET.

I'll see what I can do. It will be a couple days because the car is over at my polishers, but it will be finished tonight. I'll pick it up tomorrow if the weather is nice. If everything goes right, we'll be taking Her car to visit my parents where I can put it on the lift. Maybe I can get to things easier that way and take some pictures.

You dont have stock components do you? I need ALL STOCK components please. Be creative and think outside the box

Load the corner with a jack, lift up just enough to take the tire off, then measure. The suspension doesnt know if the tire supports the weight or a jack. This is exactly how I measureed and took pics of my clearance issues. What the designer is looking for is the difference in ball joint height of OEM and after market. Thanks
The designer or engineer needs to to be hands on. He needs to be taking the measurements himself. And he needs to test fit prototype parts on actual cars. And in this case, on lowered cars because that's what the part is for.
