my G came with illuminated door sill / kick plates and they just both went out so I’m assuming it’s fuse rather than lighting issue. I checked both fuse boxes and non were open. Since I didn’t do the install, I’m not sure how to proceed. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. 2013 G37x - I have the original battery and read that disconnecting it for 5 mins would reset the BCM which may be my next step.

If you guys have access or knowledge of a voltmeter you'll need to start from there.
It's possible that the main harness for it might have gotten pinched/disconnected or corroded and is not providing the voltage or ground the sills need.
A voltmeter will determine if it's power or ground that you're missing. Without this info there only so much we can recommend.
The illuminated kickplate T-harness has a inline fuse that needs to be checked. The fuse is the old timey glass tube type and is usually located inside a white, hard plastic case. It will be very close to the BCM and likely wrapped in foam tape.
