G37 Sedan NON-Carbon Fiber hoods, etc..
Are there any non-OEM style hoods at all that exist for the 2012 Sedan which are not carbon fiber?
For example those AMS-S style or TS style ones but without carbon fiber.
It seems like for a lot of the parts for the car it's hard to find them in anything but carbon fiber.
I found Duraflex stuff but it's apparently really low quality and difficult.
Am I forced to conform to this carbon fiber fad or are there actually options out there that aren't carbon fiber?

You have to understand that the factory hood is made of aluminum meaning the maker of said product would have to develop a new skin made of aluminum that's modified to their design.
This process is much easier to do with Fibers due to their flexibility, the weight savings is a bit of a side effect.
Overall due to the easiness and malleability of fiber along with cost effectiveness it's a material you'll have to learn to conform with unless you take an OEM hood and modify it.
The OEM hood is quite light and CF doesn't offer any significant weight savings. Aftermarket makers cannot easily stamp an aluminum hood, so your best option may be to modify an OEM hood to meet your styling wishes.
Carbon is all you'll see for modified hoods. Check Amazon and/or ebay - there's two vent designs out there.
Stock hood can be modified. Get a used one, find a bodywork friend, install vents and have it repainted to match. Et Voila!

well I figured out what I would do is just go ahead and get the carbon fiber one in the design that I want and then wrap it.. that would also give me weight reduction on the front end, which I would like
Or get it painted to match. I've never been a fan of raw carbon fiber body panels - too overdone and too much look-at-me factor. I have nothing against carbon fiber as a material - but I'd get the panel painted to match the car.

Paint costs too much since I'm gonna wrap it anyway
