Lighted door sills do not light...?

I bought a 2013 G37x 4 door in October 2016. Been a great car. Had no problems with it.

The car came with those illuminated " I N F I N I T I " door sills in front. I can't believe someone paid $400 for that, but OK, it was on the car when I got it.
.
They used to light up when the door was open. No longer lighting up, either side. Any ideas where to look? Doesn't seem like something that would have it's own fuse, and nothing else has stopped working. The dome lights etc all work OK.

Anybody else experience this?

It's not a big deal, but if it were a simple fix, I'd fix it.

I just hope it's not the start of some kind of electrical poltergeist activity.....

Strange as it may seem, the illuminated kickplates DO have a separate, inline, fuse. The fuse is the "old timey" glass cylinder type, 3amp.

You will have to remove some trim panels to access the BCM (passenger side kickpanel under dash and locate the "T-Harness" that is for the kick plates. The fuse holder is the white plastic "capsule" about 2" long (approx.).

Hope this helps.

Thanks for the info. Seems like more trouble than it's worth to dig around under there, remove trim panels etc, just to have those things light up. I suppose if I get ambitious.....

But - THANKS FOR THE INFO! Tells me exactly where to look.

Though I understand the potential aggravation, at the very least you might want to consider checking that area for water intrusion- just in case...
