Help Deciding on new HIDs
So i am deciding on a pair of new HIDs that won't require flickering to work... Anyways wondering which is better the philips XV or osram CBI. Also does anyone have the philips XV? does it require flickering? i know some of you have the CBI and it works wonders. Im leaning towards the Philips XV because it seems brighter in comparison pics. Thanks.
Everyone of these cars is different and finicky in their own way. You're gonna have to bite the bullet and start trying bulbs to see what works for you.
Neither DDM nor Philips bulbs worked for me (other than the OEM) so I had to go with Osram CBI at $185/pair.
Other guys on here are running DDM Tuning bulbs at $15/pair without issues.
Good luck with your search! It gets expensive quick lol

Bought Osram a few years back for my coupe. Still kept the stock bulbs. When I traded in my coupe, I took the Osrams out and put them in my M. They are worth the money.
I've tried using DDM bulbs (and ballasts) on my e34 and they were working intermittently at best. They always made my car error and they required flicking to start up. Really really annoying. There's a reason those bulbs are so cheap.

I brought just the bulb(decided to give Philips a go...) , currently running on Ddm and yes they are really annoying to flick especially when on the road already driving... I always pull over first to not look stupid... XD
