This is what I chose to do: see post #6. I left the firewall grommet and cut tubing where it is.
Any silicone sealant will work unless you are able to find a suitable grommet like the one in the picture. And, yes, a 90° dual barbed fitting will work. Just use a small piece of tubing to extend it just past the frame underneath the car (you'll see it once you drill the hole).

Many thanks to Bob Ranew for this ingenious solution. Bob you have great engineering talent. Thank you so much for sharing and especially for sharing the pictures!
I have been plagued with the dreaded "water in the cabin floor" on my wife's 2011 G37X. Both driver and passenger sides have "flooded" several times in the past few years.
I followed the instructions/pictures Bob provided and was able to successfully reroute both the driver and passenger sunroof drain lines as described this weekend and feel this solution is solid.
Comment: Have a helper, I did not not and feel it took a bit longer.
Comment: Parts shortage, I spent a fair amount of time driving around to get parts, which were out of stock at some of my stores.
In addition to the the sunroof drain reroute, I also sealed the round rubber electrical housing in the engine compartment on the passenger side will silicone because during my water testing it looked like the windshield water runoff was sneaking past this rubber seal and going into the cabin. I have read about other Infiniti owners commenting on it as a possible source of water in the cabin.
Thanks to all who commented and contributed to the solution.

Leak
Hello,
so my car is leaking from both driver and passenger side. The Infiniti dealership has changed the drain pipes. The car is still leaking. They drain properly. The dealership does not know what the issue is because when they pour water it doesn’t leak but I went to the car wash and it immediately leaked. Can somebody please help me. This been such a long and expensive issue.
