bump. I just received the lens.

It comes with three spacer rings. Do these replace the stock cardboard and go behind the lens?

Yes they go behind the lens, this will give you the sharper cutoff and more blue tone around the light edges. Here's a STiR (the sedan version) thread that may be of help.
Anyone do the STi-R lens swap? - G35Driver

Thanks for your help. So would you use all three spacers or just 1 or 2? Either way you still remove the factory cardboard spacer correct?

Thanks for the link. I'm sure will help some. I just know the coupe the projector lens is crimped on instead of screwed on. Hopefully that means it's easier.

I might start this headlight project tonight.

Mine just came with a pair of wire spacer rings, 1 per lens, If yours aren't wire rings I suppose you've got some options. Are yours like a thick cardboard spacer? If so, you could go w/ 2 for a nice medium. FWIW the wire spacers that came w/ mine are just shy of 1/8" thick and w/ the wire spacers you get great cutoff & nice blue flicker, so I'd shoot for whatever combo of spacers that would equal just under 1/8". And yes, you'd remove the OEM spacer if you use the supplied ones.
HTHs.

Thanks man. I decided not to paint mine but to switch to the black chrome ones. The switched out the lens and used 2 of the thin cardboard spacers they supplied. There was no factory cardboard spacer. I resealed using the existing glue but used the tape glue all along the outside to prevent moisture. I'm using 6000k led parking and HIDs. The light output looks little brighter and much sharper cutoff line. I need adjust my lights and see how looks from a distance. Ran out of time. It was 3am when I finished putting the car together lol.
