My battery just finally kicked and I'm in the process of swapping it out when I see this harness with wires but no Cover.. I cleaned out the debris from around the connector but wanted to know what is this harness for? And if this is like this on all our G sedans ? Or did the dealership forget to put this on? I may electrical tape it up for now to make sure no water or debris get in again.

 

I havent checked, but looks like every plug to me. My VW looked like that, not sure on the g37 though.

 

I was able to find some pictures online showing that a rubber boot should be covering this connector. I'm still hunting down what do all these wires control.

 

Lmao that could be why vws have so many electrical issues then!
