G37 and q50 steering wheel swap
Hey guys, I was curious to see as whether a q50 steering wheel would fit on a g37. I don’t care about the heated steering wheel, I just wanted the actual steering wheel, airbag, and controls. Any help would be great. Thanks!

Well, the Q60 one fits my Coupe just fine. I don't see why Q50 one won't work on the Sedan. See post #1609:
Steering Wheel Swap- Coupe
Only issue is that the "BACK" button on the steering wheel is now the "SOURCE" button (I don't use it anyway). The heated steering wheels and the ones with the paddle shifter built into the wheel WILL NOT WORK. Make sure the switch connectors are the same BEFORE you buy the replacement- there are 2 types.

so If I say for instance I get a custom carbon q50 steering wheel would that work on a G37? Or would I be better off just getting the custom g37 OEM steering replacement, also somebody mentioned the paddles would rub and kinda be clunky

If it fits the Q, it should fit the G. However, anything "custom" is hit-or-miss so buyer be informed and beware...
I am not aware of the paddles rubbing anything as they are fixed to the column. There may be some slight rubbing between the two shrouds as the new pieces get settled but the paddles (column or wheel mounted) have nothing to do with that. As for anything being "clunky..." ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

From 2014-2017 the Q50 had a different style steering wheel (larger airbag pad). In 2018, the Q50 adopted the Q60 wheel (w/ smaller airbag pad). Just keep in mind that there are differences between the base and Red Sport wheels as far as the electronics go.
Here's are my swaps:
While not in the theme of a Q wheel, someone else did the eBay LED wheel swap: thread.
Plenty of options out there...
