so these parts from infinitipartsusa.com cost $700+... how much did u get for selling your original mirror assemblies? and were parts cheaper from the dealer?

Everyone has different opinion of mods. Some people are fine with using a TomTom GPS mounted to the windshield. Others like me prefer the OEM navigation.
Some people are fine spending 4k on bolt on mods for 20-30 whp. While other likes me prefer to spend 10k for 150whp on FI. You get the idea.
To break down the cost:
-Paid $400 for a pair of use convertible mirrors
-Sold my old mirrors for $150 each.
-Paid $50 for the mirror switch.
Total net cost: $150
It was worth it for me. But to each his own.
Some people are fine spending 4k on bolt on mods for 20-30 whp. While other likes me prefer to spend 10k for 150whp on FI. You get the idea.

$600 is cheapest I found from a Dealer for both.

I ended up spending about $150 for this entire mod, after selling the old mirrors. It might not be worthwhile for some, it was definitely justified for me. The mirrors are protected from careless people every time I lock my doors. Plus, it adds to the "cool" factor.

Three questions: 1. Do you access the side mirror assembly immediately behind the door finisher or is it much harder to get to?, 2. would u be so kind as to elaborate on the ' cross over wire from passenger side to the driver side - the 4-pin to 2-pin harness: what does that look like and where do I get it and where is it connecting to? , 3. Any pics on the 12V connect for the switch power please?

Help!
I've finally bite the bullet and ordered the mirrors and switch...but I still do not see how the 4 pin /2wire harness is supposed to get my switch across from the driver side to the passenger side!!!

Let me try to explain it again. The switch controls both driver and passenger side mirror. The car is missing two wires that goes from the switch to the passenger side mirror.
I've circled the two wires here:
So basically, you need to disconnect the connector between the door and the car body. Once you disconnect it, you'll see this:
Noticed the two missing pins that I circled. So you need to run two wires from the driver door to the passenger door. You can insert the missing pins into the harness. The pins can be ordered at: https://tools.nissantechmate.com/en-...x?itemID=49883
