Debadged & Valenced.. Nothing like a clean azz

I used to hate that look, started growing on me slowly as I saw pix on here and what do you know, yesterday, I pulled the trigger (not literally this time though )

What I used
1) Healthy fingernails un-cut for one week
2) Dental floss stolen for my old man

And that was literally all I used to debadge; no hair dryer or any other product. Slid the floss behind the letters and when it was almost off pulled it with my fingernail. It was much easier than I ever anticipated, took less than 10 mins! And once you're in, you really need to control yourself in order not to get carried away if you're planning on not to debadge the whole thing. Hell I almost debadged my old man's Merc lol (that ricer AMG badge is killing me to be honest )

Anyways, I debadged the lettering and the G37S leaving nothing but the emblem on, and here's what it looked like with the adhesive left overs (sorry for the dirty car, been surprisingly raining here)

As you can see we're not even close to being done lol So I drove down to a hardware store and bought me two $3 bottle of Goo Gone and a Microfiber Cloth. I also used an expired credit card (never thought I'd ever). And most importantly, you'll need a lot of patience, rushing this won't get you nowhere.

What I did was, pour some Goo Gone on each letter remainings (with cloth right under it to absorb the goo gone rather than wasting it), give it like 1-2 mins then get scrubbing carefully with the credit card. And god were there so many letters made me with I had a Kia lol (not really). Anyways, almost an hour later of being ****, I was done. (Will get better daylight pix I promise once I wash her)

Update: Got the emblem & rear valence painted to match my wheels and grille, not a big fan of the chrome business.

What do you guys think?

Cheers,

Looks clean. Now wash that damn thing! Looks like you've been driving on the sand dunes again.

I ended up taking off all the lettering and I scratched my trunk. No lettering looks the best.

LMAO...

I need to shave my emblems, but it's way too f*cking cold on the east coast. I may just have to wait until springtime.

Looks good Sam.

If there is any lettering showing, it'll even out rather quickly, if you leave the car out in the sun for a few days.
