I didn't have the 2015 Q60 convertible for a year, but got tired of the squeaks, rattles and shimmies from the car. Really did not enjoy driving it anymore except with the top down. When the top was down, there was a metal to metal thunk it would make while driving over road imperfections at low speed. Could not find anything to fix it. Everything in the trunk was rock solid.
So i turned it in for a 2021 Acura TLX A-Spec. Beautiful car, lease turn-in with zero cosmetic issues. Couldn't be happier.
Best of luck to the Nissan/Infiniti owners, I've been one for decades (95 Maxima SE, 02 Maxima SE, 11 G37 Coupe, 15 Q60 Vert).
I honestly thought about reaching out to you to gauge your interest, but it all came together very quickly on Friday. Will miss your technical insight on all things G/Q. Will wait to see you on the Acura boards one day :-D
I had been (reactively) looking for one but not 100% sure I wanted one as I already have the Coupe which will be with me until I croak.
No regrets when I found the Zed/4 I have now. Different beast than the G entirely, so... I had wanted a M4 ('Vert) but those, in the color I wanted and in good condition, are "uber-unicorns."
Sadly, my Honda/ Acura days are long behind me. At the time, I couldn't justify the S2000 (which I fully regret now, but...) and opted for the RSX Type-S. After that I lost interest in the brand as they opted for what I call bread and butter/ cookie cutter models. Went to the G series and never looked back. Can't justify the Q60 and now that they're extinct it's irrelevant.
Regardless, lots of luck to you... They make a good product just nothing in 2-doors which counts me out.

Honestly, I liked my 11 Coupe better than this 15 Q60S. My coupe was a Journey, my convertible had the sport package. The looks and design were great. BUT the convertible was heavier, slower, reduced power (325 v 330) and then the squeaks and shimmies I could not deal with. If you think going from a Coupe, like yours to a convertible is an upgrade, its really not. Looks wise it is, performance and ride wise, its a let down.
Infiniti was a great era for me, but now onto newer designs.
Yes and no. The Vert never got VLSD in its Sport Package, which was odd. And while the 7AT Vert might feel pokey because of the weight, the 6MT Vert is actually quite responsive because of its short 3.916:1 rear gears.
For looks, I think the Vert with its top up is one of the best looking G's made. You had a unique and special car in that G Vert, but I would go nuts with all the creaks & groans, and I'd rarely take the top down, when having a drop-top is the whole point.
Agree a 6-speed in a Coupe or Vert would provide a totally different driving experience. Because of my condition (cancer survivor, left leg amputated below knee), I can no longer drive a manual so have to get excitement out of paddle shifters.
However, the paddle shifters are so good in the G/Q. I installed them in my 11 Journey about a year before I sold it. Mainly due to when the engine bogs down doing up a hill, by hitting the "-" paddle, it shifts when it should, then it goes back into normal DRIVE mode. That one feature was well worth it.
