my dash makes a really annoying 'tapping' noise. was just wondering if anyone else has experienced this. it is not the noise associated with silicone in the radiator rattling around at certain rpms that was discussed in the tsb section. i have taken it in 3 times and they still have not fixed it. one time the took the dash apart and placed some styrofoam (sp??) blocks in the dash. it didn't help. it just sounds like something is loose in the dash. Funny thing is my wifes 09 murano has the exact same problem, only her's is louder. I have yet to take it in to nissan.

 

I hate it, like when you go over bumps it would be like tap tap tap.... right?

my dash only makes some noises when its cold out..i dont bother taking it to the dealer, winter is almost over.

 

you got it.....its driving me crazy. i know a lot of people have to be experiencing this if i have the same problem in an 08 infiniti and an 09 nissan

hey check the speaker on the dash. When the noise comes up push try pushing all 4 corners starting from top left. press it down hard to and see if the noise stops. If it does than there is your problem. I had this rattle or tapping from there but didn't get it fix I plan on soon but to scared that if they take my dash apart it won't look the same when it comes back.

Also, when they took your dash apart did it look the same when you got it?

 

take the TSB with you, they'll fix it right away! I got mine fixed with no questions, along with the exhaust problem!

 

pretty much...one of the defrost vents is a little mis-aligned from the rest....that would make sense on the speaker....whenever someone calls me, the ring tone makes something rattle around that center speaker

 

i was not aware there was a TSB for this. the only one i've seen is the the silicone in the cooling system or something. if there is, i'd appreciate someone pointing me to it
