debadging a G37S

i used this stuff:


it worked very well, but i too still can see where the INFINITI letters were. i believe the adhesive may have somehow altered the clear coat. im thinkin a couple polishes would make it go away. i also have some swirly marks in the area where the letters were because i used regular paper towels....

If nothing else works just put back the original letters and there's no longer a debadging problem.

I had the same exact problem as you. It bothered me at first and now it's sop feint u have to know it's their to see it. I actually can't remember the last time I saw it maybe it faded I'll go check later and let you know, in the end just give it time don't repaint it.

Can't speak for everyone, but I just removed "Infiniti" because I wanted a cleaner look on the rear.

Simple solution. Meguire's ScratchX. It's a diminishing rubbing compound so it'll leave a high polish finish b/c the beads get smaller and smaller as you work it in. I had the exact same problem you did. I think for me it was the water in MO is so hard and has so much mineral content it built up and stuck to the paint around the letters. Anywho, with the paint being so freakin soft on our cars, ScratchX has become my car's best friend.
