Water Leak On My G

After heavy rain here in south florida on Tuesday I noticed water leaking in on my passenger window right by the mirror above my little tweeter speaker. Windows were secure etc., and I couldn't believe it. Seems the molding/rubber isn't sealing 100% causing the small leakage. It happened again yesterday as well. Very disappointed that something like this would happen in a new Infiniti, wouldn't expect something like this for sure. This the 3rd time I've been in for service in the past 3 weeks with my G, other 2 were for service engine soon light coming on. Getting worried about this car as it seems every week something is going wrong.

The window most likely did not roll completely up. Hop in the car and see if your able to roll the passenger window up any further after it's been opened and closed..

Crazy to hear you're having problems already.. I've never had a single problem with any of my G's.

I actually kept having that same problem with my G hear in Cali a couple weeks ago when we were having some serious rain. I just kept a dry cloth in the car and would wipe the water off my tweeters just so they don't get ruined. i believe the rubber sealing is not 100% EFFECTIVE.....Ima have the dealer take a look into this as well as my car surging forward while at a complete stop

I've had a couple of small drops run down the inside of my window after using the high pressure car wash. It would seem that frameless windows have their disadvantages....

Sounds like a similar problem that happens on some G35's. Go back to the dealership and have them adjust the window.

Did you guys have your front windows tinted? I'm thinking the tinter removed the molding, trim, door panel..etc.. and maybe didn't place it back correctly???

Nah, doesn't work like that. There has always been problems with the window alignment on the G's, a simple adjustment will do the job. Think there's a DIY for the window alignment on here.. Give it a try, grab a hose, should solve your problem.

FL here too. My G35 was VERY notorious for that, I could not take it to the car wash for the very same reason. So far the rain has not leaked into my G37. I did take my G35 to the dealer to have them change the rubber seal (molding) and it was still leaking after they changed it. Hopefully you'll have better luck. I did not follow up on the seal change because I got pissed and traded it for the G37.

SoFlo here too but i have had no issues what so ever as far as rain is concerned. But when i wash my car is i spray the water near the top of the window seal i get a little bit of water that drips in. But mine is more towards the rear of the window. The water ends up on the leg bolsters of the seat....

My service rep called me today to explain that they did find the leak and had to order a part (the molding seal etc.). It will be in Monday morning, so I'm stuck with a boring automatic sedan loaner through the weekend.
After hearing everyone's responses here, it seems that the G's are prone to this happening during times of heavy rain, hopefully this is the last time I have this or any other issue with my G.

wow, talk about timing. I just got the G back from the dealer for this very reason. We had some heavy rain here in the SF bay and I noticed it every morning. My SA told me that they realigned the window mounts and tested it by washing the car and it's no longer leaking - fingers crossed.

Meh, my leak isn't bad enough for me to take it to the dealership. Just a couple of drops running down the inside of the window after a heavy high pressure wash session. I don't think the drops even made it down to the door trim....

sounds like you might have a lemon if this is the 3rd time in 3months just wait for bigger mechanical problems and call it a lemon then get a new car =D
