All windows and power locks do not work
All windows and power locks do not work
Hey guys,
I've been having issues with my rear right window and been trying to troubleshoot it and all that so I decided to open up the master window switch (after trying everything with the rear one) and tried to clean out the green motherboard. Everything worked, even when i put it back yesterday and then it just all stopped working today.
All my windows, and locks do not work at all. From the drivers side, no windows button works a long with the locks. From the passenger side, locks and windows dont work at all and so dont the rear ones.
I'm not sure what i did to f**k this up but I think i may have damaged the chip SLIGHTLY on the edge when prying it open (yes im dumb)... but I didnt know if that would affect the others.
Should I replace the driver side motherboard or any suggestions on what I can do to try and fix it?
Also, the chip has some blue looking liquid that has been on it.. I'm not sure if that is how it was supposed to be or its broken.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

No I have not.
I can't seem to find the relearn procedure... I have a G37 Sedan and the only windows procedures I can find online is the reset where the windows work but the car starts with the windows down. My window switches do not work at ALL.
Thanks

That main window and lock switch obviously has some "processing" in it. It's one of our car's black boxes. It works in conjunction with the BCM (our main black box) but may do the brain work for the anti-pinch and "logic" of the whole power window system. I even think the individual doors switches talk to that main switch to open their own windows.
If it was all working correctly for a short time after you had it out, is it possible the connector has fallen out or the unit has somehow come apart within the armrest? I didn't think those were built to be serviced so I'm not sure how you got into it.
I don't think there is a specific fuse for the windows and locks (could be wrong), I think it all passes through the BCM. And if one of the fuses powering the BCM had gone then many things would not be working.
I'd pull that main switch out again, make sure it hasn't fallen apart, and inspect the connector carefully to see that no wires or pins have been lost. The next thing I'd check is the wires which pass from the door frame into the driver's door. Pull back that rubber boot and check that there are no frayed or broken wires.
