Driver side passenger window auto down on start

Hey all,

I recently bought a 2011 g37x sedan, which I love. However I am having an issue with one of the windows. When I start the car the rear driverside window opens all the way and I can't get it to go back up. I've tried the both buttons in the car to get it to go up, and to reset it. I have check both fobs for stuck buttons. The only thing I can do to make it go up is to lock the car using the manual key in the door and holding it into the lock position. I also discovered that using the window lock button prevents the window from opening.

Welcome to the site.

Don't know the answer but I suspect the switch on the motor is going bad. When one of my rear windows lost its auto-up function, the dealer replaced the entire motor.

i would guess the window switch is stuck or broken. try flick it up hard a few times maybe that just might stop the stuckiness

The driver's door window switch assembly controls the power windows, it is an electronic device that uses CAN data to command the windows, and is possible to have data errors due to water damage. When these get water-logged, the power windows do wonky things. A common issue in 1st gen Titans when owners would let the window switches get rained on (easy to do in a Titan).
Probably, your car either had the door left open for a long time in the rain, or it may have been a flood car.

So I went out to the car the next day, and the problem could not be replicated. I'm wondering if it was just a stick button or if it really could be water damage.
