Can you lock/unlock with the remote? If you hold the unlock button down for several seconds, do the windows roll down?

if neither the driver's door switch or the RR door switch works (be sure you don't have the window lock button engaged in driver's door) then try using the mechanical key; lock and hold in the lock position. That may close all the windows in the same way the FOB can open them all.

I had the same problem with driver door window switch.
It toke me about 15 minutes to solve the problem

Remove the switch (no need to remove the door finish)
Disansemble the switch, remove the electronic PCB from the switch plastic case, clean the PCB using brake cleaner spray, let the PCB dry for 5 minutes, reassemble the switch and install it back into the door. Problem solved.

PS.
Do NOT let the brake cleaner get in contact with any plastic or rubber parts!!!

Can the switch be removed by removing the panel on the drivers door and pulling out the switch?

Yes. You only need to pull out (up) the switch assembly.
No need to remove the entire door panel.

Check the service manual for more details.
