Help G37 dashboard screen updates
G37 dashboard screen updates
Hey,
I got a 2009 g37, it comes fully equipped with NAV and camera but Bluetooth is not compatible with iPhone. So I can’t play music. I heard OEM for 08-13 is the same except 2013’s screen can pair with IPhone. if I Replace my screen with a 2013, will it work the same as the 2013 car? has anyone tried this? THANKS

1st post on the forum, try the search feature out. Yes, this can be done. Is it worth the money and hassle? That's up to you, but I say definitely not.
Google is an amazing thing, try it out.

Short answer: NO. Just replacing the screen will not give you Bluetooth. The screens from 2010+ ARE NOT compatible with 2008/2009 systems as they use a entirely different video interface.
The BT module is a part of the AV headunit "motherboard." Therefore, you will have to swap out the entire AV system to a 2010+ system to gain BT audio, and NO, the swap is NOT plug-and-play.
To mirror what jpowersjr2 mentioned, it can be done and has been done. I did it years ago for reasons I will not get into here. Whether or not it is worth it is entirely up to you.
