Ended up ordering an Odyssey 35-PC1400. 850 CCA, 130 minute reserve, deep cycle, dry cell, maintenance free, 4 year warranty. Got it for $228.00 shipped, no core charge. I'll keep my old one for a spare.

Keep the old one on a battery tender to extend its life. Had mine on for the last 2 1/2 years. Had plenty of juice few weeks ago to jump the car.

Yeah, I need to get one of those. I've got an older Schumacher charger that does it's job but I don't have a tender.

I use a C-Tek 7002, which has the proper setting for an AGM + Snowflake setting. Great all around unit, I have 2 of them, both in bumper cases, and use the supplied pigtails direct to the battery clamps. This also happpens to be the charger / maintainer recommended by Northstar.

I bought this -

back in 2006 for the motorcycle. It was $35 back then. I'll alternate between keeping it on the car battery and spare battery. Manufacturer's web site says it's good for wet and agm batteries.

Thanks for the info on the tenders. I just finished up my stereo I replaced the Bose with, posted a photo in the Audio/Video section under 6.5" Components for $300. If you're interested take a look. Sounds great.

AGM batteries only. Northstar is really king. However, I run an Energizer AGM from Sam's Club. They are rebranded Deka Intimidators, and they are tanks for the price. I can't believe people are still suggesting Optimas. They have been overpriced trash for YEARS

Sorry Mr. Helper Spring (still working great btw)

It is Duracell. I cross referenced the battery brands.

Got the Odyssey in today and installed it, it fit with no problems. Car starts so much easier and faster now, doesn't sound like the same car when it turns over. Now I need to get a tender/maintainer/charger for it.

We got our battery for our 2013 6MT from Costco.
It took a bit of work to clear space to replace battery.
No issues.
Be careful to get correct battery with positive and negative posts in right places.
Good luck

Good to know other AGM options. And I'm sure I'll hear slovell's sound system from where ever he is ;-)

On a side note, I bought a battery from the dealer for my '09 in November. It was about $170 installed. Plus an 84-month warranty. I figure factory battery installed by a factory-trained guy was worth it and I was in and out of there in maybe 40 minutes tops. No fuss, no muss on my part. The car sits a lot of the winter so I have a battery tender on it anyway.
